Artist Wednesday: Pae White
I saw her tapestry at the Whitney Museum as well and it was unbelievable. Her work is showcased on the 3rd floor, right in front of the elevators and it's amazing. I was in awe when I stepped off the elevator, it takes over the whole wall and the detail is incredible.

Artist Wednesday: Jim Lutes
I saw Jim Lutes's work at the Whitney Biennial last semester and it was amazing. He's a contemporary artist and his color palette is absolutely beautiful. His brushstrokes are applied freely and provides a delicacy in each of his compositions.
Here is his website at the Whitney:

Artist Wednesday: Francisco Goya
I always find his work interesting, his quality of colors as well as contrast becomes a good reference for me. He is a Spanish romantic painter, who was a court painter and in his later years focused on fantasy and nightmares.
